1.2344 H13 ESR Hot Working Mold Steel With High Touhness High Isotropy Good Thermal Stability
DIN 1.2344 tool steel (also known as AISI H13 steel or just H13) is a tool steel grade standardised for hot working. The main feature of this grade is the combination of alloyed elements of chromium, molybdenum and vanadium, Cr-Mo-V, which provides a high wear resistance to thermal shock. It is well known as for its great strength, and heat resistance. It is heavily used for die casting and the cold heading field. The presence of high vanadium in DIN 1.2344 can handle the abrasion at both low and high temperatures. It always provides a uniform and high level of machinability. This tool steel is mostly used for aluminum, magnesium and zinc die casting.

Tool and die steel 1.2344 H13 property
The hot work tool steel 1.2344 ESR has an improved material property due to the Electro-slag Remelting Process . Our ESR material is used when better material purity, particularly high tensile strength and compressive strength are required. Compared to the steel 1.2343 ESR, this material has a higher carbon content and is much harder and more wear-resistant. The material 1.2344 ESR is given a good tensile strength and toughness by the soft annealing.
- Electro slag remelting ,annealing with high temperature diffusion process and ultra refinement treatment has food homogeneous microstructure and finer dispersed carbides .
- Transverse/longitudinal≥0.8
- Good tempering performance ,high toughness ,high remperature strength ,good thermal stability and thermal fatigue resistance.
- Annealing hardness≤230HB ,quenching hardness 51-55HRC ,tempering hardness 46-50HRC.
